Modern ultrasound imaging for fast and accurate diagnosis

Ultrasound is a non-invasive, safe and affordable imaging method used to evaluate internal organs, blood vessels and soft tissues. It provides essential information for diagnosis, monitoring and prevention, without radiation and without discomfort for the patient.

General ultrasound at Metropolitan Hospital

Advanced expertise and leading technology in ultrasonography.

At Metropolitan Hospital, ultrasounds are performed under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Adrian Costache, considered one of the most reputable ultrasonography specialists in Romania, with internationally recognized clinical and academic experience.

The department uses state-of-the-art equipment, with high resolution and advanced functions (Doppler, elastography, 3D/4D mode), which allows for rapid and accurate identification of conditions. Each investigation is tailored to the patient, with time dedicated to assessment and clear explanations, in an environment focused on comfort and safety.

The medical team performs a full range of ultrasounds — abdominal, thyroid, breast, soft tissue, pelvic, urological, and vascular Doppler — covering both routine evaluations and complex investigations. Services also include emergency ultrasound for acute situations or severe abdominal pain.

Patients benefit from fast results, detailed interpretations and clear recommendations for treatment or monitoring. All procedures are performed according to international performance and quality standards.
