Dr. Alexandru Calu

Dr. Alexandru Calu built his professional training within leading university hospitals in Bucharest, where he gained complex experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery and in the management of highly difficult cases. His career includes work in centers such as the University Emergency Hospital, the Floreasca Emergency Clinical Hospital and the Emergency Clinical Hospital – Plastic, Reconstructive and Burns Surgery, where he participated in numerous interventions in multidisciplinary teams.

Throughout his career, Dr. Calu has treated over 6,000 patients, of whom more than 3,000 have benefited from aesthetic or reconstructive surgical interventions. A significant part of his experience is dedicated to modern aesthetic surgery — rhinoplasty and rhinoseptoplasty, breast augmentation, body contouring and complex aesthetic corrections — which he performs with updated techniques and oriented towards natural results.

Since 2014, Dr. Calu has been working exclusively in the private sector, performing interventions of varying difficulty and managing cases of revision or postoperative reconstruction, areas that require precision, advanced planning and a mature aesthetic vision. Constant participation in international congresses, courses and workshops allows him to maintain a medical practice aligned with modern trends and protocols in plastic surgery.

Currently, Dr. Calu carries out his surgical activity in collaboration with Metropolitan Hospital, in an advanced technological environment that allows the safe management of a wide range of aesthetic and reconstructive procedures.
