Medical Experience

Dr. Dragoș Popescu is recognized for his expertise in complex knee surgery and for using advanced techniques, rarely practiced in Romania. He is the only orthopedic surgeon in the country who performs meniscus transplant surgery, a procedure dedicated to patients with severe injuries and extensive meniscal loss, with the aim of restoring joint function and preventing progressive knee degradation.

It is Doctor of Medicine and Clinical Professor at the University of Barcelona, positions that reflect his academic involvement and contribution to the training of new generations of specialists.

Within the Spanish Arthroscopy Association (AEA), Dr. Popescu is coordinator of the National Arthroscopy Training Program (PNFA) for knee pathology, a role that involves the development and standardization of modern arthroscopy techniques at an international level.

His experience combines clinical work, high-precision surgery, and academic work, offering patients modern, personalized solutions for degenerative, traumatic, or post-traumatic knee conditions.
